Mint Brownies

Ingredients: 

Brownies
2 ½ cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
¼ cup cocoa
6 eggs (slightly beaten)
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt together :
2 (1 oz. squares) semi-sweet Bakers chocolate
1 ½ cubes butter
½ cup shortening

Mint for Brownies

6 Tbs. butter
3 ½ cups powdered sugar
green food coloring
¼ cup milk
1 tsp. mint extract

Chocolate frosting for brownies

2 (1 oz. squares) unsweetened Bakers chocolate (melted)
6 Tbs. butter (softened)
2 cups powdered sugar
¼ cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
dash of salt


  1. For Brownies Combine, sugar, flour, salt, cocoa
  2. Mix in eggs and vanilla
  3. Melt together bakers chocolate, butter and shortening
  4. Add this to the first mixture and pour onto greased cookie sheet.
  5. Spread and bake 25 minutes at 350
  6. Mint for Brownies, Mix butter, powdered sugar, green food coloring, milk and mint
  7. Spread over brownies before completely cooled and set aside
  8. For Frosting, mix Bakers chocolate, butter, sugar, milk, vanilla and salt.
  9. Spread over mint topping
  10. Keep cool until serving.
