Mom's Marinara

Ingredients: 

1/4 white onion
5 ish cloves garlic
1/3 carrot
1 stalk of celery
1/2 cup White wine
4 cans Chunky Crushed tomatoes
1 tbsp oregano
1 tbsp basil
Fresh parsley
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp cayenne
paprika


  1. Chop vegetables and put in food processor
  2. Sautee in oil over medium heat, stirring often, about 5 minutes
  3. add white wine and continue to sautee, reduce about 10 minutes
  4. add tomatoes, tsp of salt (maybe more) 1/2 tsp pepper (maybe more), basil, parsley, and other spices
  5. cook stirring occasionally on low heat for 45 minutes stirring and tasting often
