Street Style Tawa Paneer Frankie

Ingredients: 

For the filling:
Oil
Onion paste
lasan adrak paste
red chilly powder
dhanya powder
garam masala powder
tomato puree
kaju paste (1 tbsp, thin)
curd
salt
paneer
dhanya patta

For the frankie:
roti
egg
chopped onions
vinegar + chopped chillys


  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil, add 1 cup onion paste and saute for a minute
  2. Add 1 tbsp lasan adrak paste and saute for a minute
  3. Add 2 tbst red chilly powder, 2 tsp dhanya powder, 2 tsp garam masala powder, and stir well
  4. Add half cup thick tomato puree and cook some more
  5. Add 1 tbsp kaaju paste (thin), 2 tbsp curd, and cook
  6. Add salt
  7. Add 250 gm paneer cubes and cook
  8. Add fresh dhanya patta
  9. KEEP ASIDE
  10. When serving, put roti on tawa and put a blob of butter and fry on both sides (may add egg optional)
  11. On a roti, spread a layer of chopped onions, frankie masala all over the roti
  12. Add vinegara and green chillies (mixed and kept aside earlier) 1 tsp
  13. Add prepared filling
  14. Fold and cover in foil. Serve hot.
