Vermont Maple Fudge

Notes: 

I have fond memories of collecting maple sap on a horse drawn sled when a child and the unique smell of sap boiling down to maple syrup. This fudge is a great way to use this nectar of the gods: MAPLE SYRUP.

Ingredients: 

1 cup Vermont Maple Syrup (only the best Grade A)
2 tablespoons butter
2/3 cup condensed milk
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoons salt
2 cups mini marshmallows
10-12 oz white chocolate chips
1 cup walnuts chopped
12 walnut halves


  1. Combine: butter milk, sugar, salt & maple syrup in a heavy sauce pan
  2. Over medium heat bring to a rolling boil to 238 using a candy thermometer
  3. Remove froM heat and quickly stir in marshmallows, chips and chopped nuts
  4. Stir until all are melted together
  5. Pour into a 13x 9 greased pan
  6. Place walnut halves on top of the fudge
  7. Let cool
