I actually made this as a last minute substitute when I realized I was missing the right amount of milk for something else - and had to make a substitution for this one, too. I ended up using a can of cheddar soup instead of cream of chicken. I think it would be BETTER with cream of chicken, but it was downright delicious with the cheddar soup, too!
Maybe it's because I ate my very large, filling birthday cupcake before I ate dinner, but it wasn't as good as it looked. Not bad, though - my husband had seconds.
Because I didn't have the appropriate groceries when I made this (made a mistake writing down the things needed), I had to make it up as I went along. What a mess that turned out to be. Husband didn't like it, but I liked the messed-up version enough for seconds, so if I made this right it would probably be great.
