1/4 cup confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon water
2 cups all purpose flour
2 cups pecans, ground
more confectioners sugar
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cream the butter until light. Beat in the confectioners sugar, vanilla, salt, and water. Beat until fluffy.
Fold in the flour and then the nuts.
Cover and chill for at least 1 hour. Form the dough into small rolls (about the size of a finger) and bend into crecents.
Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake for 50 minutes.
Shake them in confectioners sugar when the are already thoroughly cooled.
