For the frosting
1 cup milk
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, at room temperature
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon almond extract

It is rather dry, but surprisingly after I let it sit overnight (wrapped) it took a bit of moisture from the icing and the texture improved.
I would consider using this icing recipe again, but not so sure about the cake.
