BASIC FRESH-SQUEEZED LEMONADE

Ingredients: 

2 quarts cold water
2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 cup simple syrup (half sugar/half water, boiled down), plus more as needed
1 medium lemon, thinly sliced, for garnish
Ice


Combine water, lemon juice and simple syrup in pitcher and stir to combine. Add additional simple syrup to taste, and chill. To serve, pour over ice and garnish with lemon slices.
