Can also use this base as a sugar cookie or swap out chocolate chips for other candies like m&ms or caramels

Ingredients:

Flour,sugar,egg,vanilla,butter, chocolate chips

Measure 2 and 1/4 cups of flour into bowl
Add in 2 3/4 cups of sugar (or 1 1/2 cups sugar)
Add in 1 cup UNMELTED butter
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
stir all ingredients together until butter is well distributed
melt 2 tablespoons butter add to cookie dough and stir until cookie dough looks wet no more dry spots
Add in chocolate chips
Drop cookies onto greased baking sheet bake at 375 for 12 minutes until bottoms and edges look golden brown (the tops of the cookies will continue to look pale)
