1/2 CUP SHORTENING, PREFERABLY CRISCO, AT ROOM TEMPERATURE
1 1/2 CUPS CONFECTIONERS’ SUGAR, SIFTED
1 EGG, AT ROOM TEMPERATURE
1 TEASPOON PURE VANILLA EXTRACT
