3 cups brown sugar
2 sticks (8 ounces) unsalted butter
7 eggs (room temperature)
1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
1 1/2 cups chopped dried fig
3/4 cup hot coffee
1/4 cup cap't morgan's spiced rum
1/2 cup heavy cream
3 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
