Easy Scotch Eggs

Example: I love this... NThe word brunch sends a shiver down my spine, but that’s pretty much what this little beauty actually is – it isn’t a full meal and and isn’t just a nibble. That’s why for me, I prefer to get involved with Scotch eggs with a great big cold beer within grabbing distance – either at a bar or on a beach with a board somewhere near.

Scotch Eggs are a hot or cold wonder – equally fabo as long as they are made from the best ingredients you lay your mits on! The biggest problem with Scotch Eggs is the reputation they have (in some places). I mentioned Scotch Eggs to some mates and they grimaced as they recalled late night filling station fodder – what you get in a filling station at 3am is not a Scotch Egg it’s dust wrapped in cardboard laced with bath water – stay away and make this instead:ext time...

Ingredients: 

Makes 4 Scotch Eggs

4 Free range eggs
6 quality pork sausages, preferably from your butcher.
1/2 onion finely, finely diced
A few sage leaves – fresh not dried
Salt and pepper to season
White bread crumbs about 1LB of.
Flour for dusting, egg wash (whisked up egg with a little milk)
