Farmhouse Pumpkin Bread

Notes: 

My Great-Grandmother Mayne used to make this at her home in the country. It is still a family favorite, especially around the holidays.

Ingredients: 

3-1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3 c. sugar
2 t. baking soda
1-1/2 t. salt
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. nutmeg
1 t. ground ginger
3/4 c. oil
2/3 c. water
4 eggs, beaten
2 c. canned pumpkin
Optional: 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
