Garlic Broccoli Rapini

1/2 bunch rapini, (about 1 lb/500g)
1 1/2 tbsp (21 mL) extra-virgin olive oil
1-1/2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp kikoman soy sauce
1/2 pack of splenda
1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) hot pepper flakes
1/8 tsp grated fresh ginger
1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) salt


  1. Mix soy sauce, splenda, hot pepper flakes and ginger together and leave to the side.
  2. Trim off tough bottoms about 1/4 inch (5 mm) from base of rapini stalks. In deep skillet of boiling salted water, cover and cook stalks until tender, about 6 minutes; drain and pat dry.
  3. In same skillet, heat oil over medium heat; fry garlic until garlic begins to brown, about 2 minutes. Add rapini and salt ; heat through.
  4. Pour soy mixture overtop stir and serve.
