Ingredients:

2 steaks, approximately 1.5 Lbs, cut into 1/2 thick strips
2 cups of coarsely chopped shallots
1/2 cup of minced ginger
1/2 cup of soy sauce
2 tablespoons of fresh coarsely ground black pepper
1 teaspoon sesame oil
4 tablespoons peanut oil
White rice to serve

Directions

  1. Slice up your steak into stir-fryable chunks and marinate in 1/2 cup of soy sauce, fresh ground pepper, and sesame oil.
  2. Set aside your marination aside for 15 minutes while you start your rice and prep your shallots and ginger.
  3. Heat up your wok on high heat.  (You can also use a large pan, cast iron is good, that can handle the heat).
  4. Get ready to stir fry your steak with shallots and ginger in four batches. Add a tablespoon of peanut oil to the hot wok, and toss in 1/4th of the beef. Stir-fry for a couple minutes, then toss in 1/4th of the ginger and shallots and stir-fry for a couple minutes more.
  5. Set your first batch aside in a bowl (or serve), and cook your other 3 batches the same way.
  6. Serve with rice.

Servings: 4

Preparation Time: 30-45 minutes
