Healthy Salted Caramel Apple Scones

Ingredients: 

The Apple Scones:
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
1 medium red apple
1 tablespoon maple syrup
2.5 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
3 teaspoons cinnamon
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup applesauce
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup Sucanat or coconut sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Healthy Caramel Icing:
10 large medjool dates
2 tablespoons smooth almond butter
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1+ tablespoon non-dairy milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
