Hoisin-Sesame Pan Sauce

makes 3/4 cup

Ingredients: 

2 tsp grated ginger
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 scallions, sliced thin on bias
1 tsp toasted sesame oil


  1.  Start with 1 TBS fat drippings
  2. Add ginger and cook 15 seconds over med heat
  3. Stir in hoisin, OJ, and broth scrapping up bits
  4. Simmer & cook 3-4 minutes until reduced to 3/4 cup
  5. Off heat, stir in scallions, sesame oil
  6. Salt & pepper to taste
