Lemon breaded bonito

Saw this recipe in a Japanese recipe calendar. My translation.

Ingredients: 

200g of bonito (tuna will do)
32 (pieces of) French beans
salt, to taste


20g of breadcrumbs or panko
2 Tbsp of olive oil
grated lemon peels (from 1 lemon)
grated garlic (a little bit)
1/2 Tsp of mixed herb
1 Tbsp of French mustard (the one you can see the grains)


  1. Sprinkle salt on the bonito. Spread the mustard on the bonito thinly.
  2. Mix the ingredients for breadcrumbs. Put it onto the bonito.
  3. Stir-fry (or grill?) French beans with olive oil on a sfrying pan.
  4. Heat 2 tsp of olive oil on a frying pan. Roast the bonito with high-medium heat for 30 seconds on each side.
  5. Cut the bonito. Add mustard, if you like.
