Lion House Clam Chowder

Ingredients: 

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cp finely chopped onion
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
6 cups half and half or milk
3-6.5 oz chopped clams in clam juice, drained, reserve juice
1 cup peeled, diced potatoes, cooked
1 cup diced celery, cooked
1 tsp garlic salt
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce, optional
1/2 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled, optional
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2-3 sprigs chopped parsley, for garnish
