- I substituted chicken stock for water and added pre-cooked chicken to give it more body. This was awesome with Jiffy cornbread muffins! Just a quick meal that tasted good.

- I added a can of cream of chicken soup, 1/2 small onion chopped and sauteed in 2 T. butter and an extra cup of milk. Was a little more tasteful!!

Ingredients: 

2 1/2 cups water
1 (10-ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1 (7.25-ounce) package macaroni & cheese mix
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
4 cups (1 quart) milk
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
