This recipe is so easy to make ahead and perfect for when company comes. It’s enjoyed by my family for most holidays!
8 eggs, beaten
3 c. milk
1 lb. ground pork sausage, browned and drained
10 slices bread, torn into bite-size pieces
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms or 4-oz. can mushroom pieces and stems, drained
2 T. butter, melted
2 T. all-purpose flour
1 T. dry mustard
salt and pepper to taste
