2 medium egg whites
1/4 t cream of tartar
2/3 c powered sugar
1/2 t vanilla

Beat whites until soft, add cream of tartar, add sugar gradually while beating. When stiff peaks form spoon onto parchment paper. Bake on 100 degrees about 3 hours. Leave to cool in oven several hours longer with oven door ajar.
