Peppermint Hot Chocolate

3 cups nonfat dry milk powder
2 cups powdered sugar
2 cups cocoa powder
1½ cups white chocolate chips (or chopped white chocolate)
6oz candy canes
¼ teaspoon sea salt

  • Whisk together all ingredients, except white chocolate and candy canes in a large bowl.
  • Use food processor to crush half of the candy canes into a fine powder. 
  • Add half the powdered ingredients and half the white chocolate chips and pulse until the chocolate is finely ground and ingredients are well mixed.
  • Repeat with remainder of ingredients
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
  • To make hot cocoa, put 1/3 cup of the cocoa mix in a mug and stir in 1 cup of hot milk. Top with whipped cream or miniature marshmallows.
