Poppy Seed Muffins


Servings: 12


3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter - softened
1/2 tsp grated orange peel
2 egg
2 cups flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 cup milk
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup chopped pecans
5 Tbs poppy seeds

1. Cream sugar, butter, and orange peel

2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each

3. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg - add to creamed mixture

alternately with milk - mixing well

4. Fold in raisins, nuts and poppy seeds.

5. Fill muffin cups 3/4 full


6. Bake 20 min @400 deg
