Roster Oven Turkey

Amount of each ingredient depends on the size of the turkey and your preferences:

Stick of butter
Some melted butter
Veggies: Celery, Onions, etc.
Herbs of your choice
Fruit choose one: Apples, Oranges, Lemons, etc.

Put butter into about half inch slices; core apples and cut into large chunks (or whatever fruit you are using); cut celery and onion into about 2-3" chunks.

Rinse turkey. Place the herbs, veggies and fruit inside the turkey. Place the slice butter under the turkey skin (if you want, you can sprinkle the butter with an herb such as sage or poultry seasoning before putting the butter under the skin; and can also be added to the basting butter). Now baste the turkey with the melted butter. Place turkey into the roaster oven and bake according to your roaster's instructions.

This turkey can also be cooked in a smoker, then put into the roaster to stay warm.
