Spaghettini and Killer meat sauce

Notes: 

‘Spag Bol’ is omnipresent and it’s one of the greatest comfort foods known to mankind. It’s a student staple and a default fall back for millions of people who have just trudged home from a hard day sitting at an office desk wondering where their life went wrong ;0)

This recipe is not the classic Bolognese, this is my adaption of it and has the addition of anchovies and a full bulb of garlic. I love pasta, but this is a heavy dish so I’ve used Spaghettini which is the thinnest of the ‘long’ pastas – I have also gone a bit over board with the meat sauce but that’s just how I roll baby!

Ingredients: 

For four hungry people:
500 grams minced steak
1 red onion finely diced
1/2 tin of salted Anchovy fillets finely diced
Full bulb of garlic minced
1 TBS tomato puree
1/2 fresh chili (optional)
2 TBS finely chopped fresh Oregano and/or basil
1 Carton of chopped tomatoes
