Sweet Potato Bundt Cake with Bourbon Glaze

Notes: 

I would let this cook a slight bit longer than recipe calls for. Cake was cook through, but still a slight taste of alcohol in some bites.

Ingredients: 

2 sticks of unsalted butter (softened)
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 medium sweet potatoes (cooked & mashed) - about 1 1/2 cup
3/4 cups buttermilk
1/3 cup bourbon
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 large eggs
1 1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans
a few pecan halves for decoration (optional)

Glaze:
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon bourbon
