Vodka Tomato Sauce

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
6 cloves garlic, minced
a pinch or so crushed red pepper
salt, to taste
1-28 ounce can crushed tomatoes in puree
1 pound penne (or another pasta of choice)
2 tablespoons vodka
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
freshly grated parmesan cheese
