My grandparents were famous for these pancakes at the Wagon Wheel Motel they owned. Every Saturday in the summer they would make an enormous batch of pancakes and feed all their guests. I grew up eating them too...they are very filling and the best! Be sure to use whole-grain wheat, not whole-wheat flour.
3/4 c. whole-grain wheat
1 c. milk
2 T. sugar
1/4 t. salt
2 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. oil
oil for frying
