Salesforce is a CRM or customer relationship management (CRM) platform that enables businesses to manage their customer information, develop relationships with their customers and provide personalized customer experiences. It's among the most popular CRM platforms on the planet and is utilized by many businesses around the globe. Salesforce is more than an ERP platform, though. Salesforce is also a robust development platform with it's own programming language (Apex) and development tools. This makes it possible for developers to develop customized applications that run on the Salesforce platform, and this is where I can help. As a Salesforce Developer, I assist businesses create custom applications on the Salesforce platform. I use my skills in development and programming to develop solutions that meet their needs. It's a challenging job, but it's also extremely rewarding. My journey to becoming a Salesforce Developer started with an unintentional encounter. I was at a technology conference when I ran into a Salesforce recruiter. We started talking and they asked me if was interested in joining their team as an Salesforce Developer. At the beginning, I was uneasy. I hadn't heard of Salesforce beforeand wasn't certain if I was qualified for the position. But after doing some research I decided to try my hand at it in becoming the Salesforce Developer. Since since then, I've worked as Salesforce Developer for the past three years. I've worked on dozens of projects, ranging from small-scale apps to enterprise-level solutions. I've also had the chance to work with some of the best developers in the world. It's been a rewarding experience as well as challenging at the exact same while. I've had to study a lot regarding how to use the Salesforce platform and the tools for development and tools, but I've also had the chance to work on one of the biggest and most exciting initiatives in the field. What do you need to know to be a successful Salesforce Developer? In the first place it is to know your knowledge of the Salesforce platform and the development tools it offers. This Salesforce platform was built upon the Force.com platform which is cloud-based and can be used to develop applications. It's a powerful platform, and comes with the own language for programming (Apex) along with development and design tools. The Apex programming language is the primary tool for building custom applications on the Salesforce platform. It's an object-oriented, strongly typed programming language that lets developers to develop customized solutions to meet any business requirement. To make the most of Apex, developers need to know the Salesforce development tools such as Visualforce along with Lightning. Visualforce is a markup language which allows developers to build customized user interfaces. Lightning is a powerful framework to build interactive web-based applications. Developers must also be aware of the Salesforce APIs and the various integrations. Salesforce APIs and integrations Salesforce APIs enable developers to connect to the Salesforce platform with other applications and integrations allow developers to connect Salesforce with other cloud-based services. My journey to becoming a Salesforce Developer is undoubtedly one of the most satisfying events in my entire life. It's not easy, but it's also been an extremely satisfying. I've been able to work with some of the finest developers around as well as the chance to work with some of the top creative projects in the field. If you're considering being a Salesforce Developer, know that it's a tough job but it's also very satisfying. It's important to ensure you have the right qualifications and experience to be successful, but if you can, you'll be given the chance to create solutions that will make a difference.
