Ingredients: 

4 tbsp olive oil, plus extra for greasing the dish
1.2 kg minced lamb
2 onions, peeled and finely diced
4 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
2-3 tbsp garam masala
½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp ground turmeric
1 slice white bread, crusts removed, soaked in water for a minute, then squeezed dry
3 tbsp tomato purée
Juice and finely grated zest of 1 lemon
3 tbsp mango chutney
100g sultanas
80g ground almonds
4 bay leaves
4 eggs, lightly beaten
250ml whole milk (or yoghurt)
30g flaked almonds
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
