1 cup white onion, chopped
2 1/2 (about 1 lb) cups sliced (and peeled) carrots
1 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup golden raisins
1 teaspoon herbs de provence
1 tablespoon Splenda brown sugar
salt and pepper to taste
