Pesto Fried Okra

Ingredients: 

1/2 cup peanut oil (can sub vegetable oil or Canola)
10 pods okra, sliced in 1/4 inch pieces
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup flour
3/4 cup cornmeal
1 teaspoon dried pesto seasoning (found on the spice aisle)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
