- I made this last night, and it was a huge hit, it really it the spot, not to sweet, but soft, smooth & moist. I did cook mine for 2 1/2 hours. I mixed the first 8 ingredients ( I omitted nuts) in a bowl, smooth it out, then the last 3 ingredients, poured it on and it came out fine, I did check to see if my crock pot had the elements on the sides as suggested.
- Since I don't like nuts in my dessert I substituted them with 3/4 cup of chocolate chips which made the dessert even better.
- Several reviews suggested doubling the recipe
1 cup Gold Medalâ„¢ all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup baking cocoa
1 1/2 cups hot water
