Southern Mac & Cheese

Notes: 

I know Velveeta is not real cheese but this works. You can also substitute any cheese you like and with any combination. Cheddar, montery jack, colby, whatever you have available,

Ingredients: 

2 1/2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
1/4 cup butter 1/2 stick, cubed
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
1/2 onion grated
2-3 cloves of garlic
1 cup 8oz of any combination of cheeses
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon ground mustard
1/2 teaspoon Cheyenne pepper or hot sauce
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 bay leaf
1 teasp. Paprika
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese for topping
