1 egg beaten
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 small onion - chopped, sautee if desire until tender
1 cup grated sharp cheddar
1/2 cup mayo or miracle whip
1 small box of cheez-it crackers
1/2 stick of butter or margarine - melted
Layer THAWED broccoli florets into a bake pan Layer onion over the broccoli Mix together the egg soup cheese and mayo Pour mixture over broccoli. Crumble cheez-it crackers. Stir in melted butter. Spread on top of casserole. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 – 30 minutes Note: It is best to thaw out the broccoli by opening paskage and spreading on a cookie sheet over several hours. You can thaw in the microwave but be careful because if the broccoli is cooked then it will be mushy in the casserole. If broccoli is still frozen – they will be hard and the sauce watery. For a larger casserole just double the ingredients – what I do for Thanksgiving!
