Banana Bread

Notes: 

Yield-2 loaves

Ingredients: 

1/2 cup shortening
1 1/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 bananas, smashed
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
5 Tbs Buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup nuts


1. Grease and flour pans

2. Cream shortening and sugar - add bananas

3. Beat in eggs

4. Sift flour, soda, salt

5. Mix together all ingredients

6. Fills pans 2/3 full to 3/4 full

7. Bake for 1 hour - 45 minutes for smaller pans @ 350 degrees
