Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Ganache Tart

I made this while attempting to make the Orange Chocolate Hazelnut Torte from the incredible Rawmazing cookbook. I’m very picky about when I’m in the mood for orange flavoured things, and this particular day I wasn’t feeling it, so I decided to leave out any orange altogether and also tinkered around with the measurements and textures. In terms of the recipe I was following, it was a complete disaster but it tastes great and doesn’t look too shabby either! So here’s what I’m calling a Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Ganache Tart….

Ingredients: 

Ingredients:
For the Crust:
1 1/2 Cups of Hazelnuts
7 Dates, Soaked in Hot Water (for five minutes)
For the Ganache:
1 1/3 Cups of Cacao Powder
1 1/3 Cup of Maple Syrup
3/4 Cups of Coconut Oil, Melted
1 1/3 Cups of Hazelnuts, Roughly Chopped
For the Caramel Layer:
1 Cup of Coconut Butter (Not the same as Coconut Oil)
3/4 Cups of Maple Syrup
3/4 Cups of Hazelnuts, Roughly Chopped
