Get Started - 100% free to try - join in 30 secondsWhen thinking about classic breakfast, oatmeal is one of the first things that comes to our minds. We’ve already talked about the benefits of eating oats for breakfast or any other time. However, here’s an idea on how to improve and diversify good old oatmeal: let’s bake it!
This is an easy to make gluten-free recipe that can be easily turned into dairy-free and vegan – it depends on the milk you decide to use.
2 cups of old fashioned oats
1 ripe banana
1 cup of milk of your choice
1 tablespoon of baking powder
1 tablespoon of cocoa or cacao powder
Cinnamon to taste
Pinch of salt – optional
Sweetener of your choice - optional
Nuts, seeds, dried fruits - optional
Mash your banana and add cocoa powder. Add the oats. Add baking powder, cinnamon and other condiments. Mix everything together, then add the milk and mix again.
Transfer the mixture to a baking tray or muffin bowls . It may get sticky, so if your tray isn’t non-stick, grease it a bit before you put the mixture in it.
Cook for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool before you eat it.
