Bread Pudding

Used left over King Cake


1 stick butter, melted
1 cup milk
2 eggs
1 T vanilla
3/4 cup sugar brown or white
1 t Cinnamon
4 cups bread pieces ( about 8 slices)
1/2 to 3/4 blueberries or fruit of your choice

1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup burbon or Amatreto (or your choice)
1/2 t Vanilla
1/2 cup sugar brown or white

Mix all ingredients well and bake for 30 minutes at 350 in a 8x8 square dish or double recipe and add to a 9x13 dish. Add walnuts or raisins, optional.  


Place all ingredients in saucepan and stir.  Bring to boil over medium high heat and cook 3-4 minutes.  Cook and stir longer for a praline sauce.  Add vanilla just before pouring on bread.  Pour over pudding while warm or dip into pudding.
