Blogger Brooke McLay from Cheeky Kitchen has created a Caramel Apple Monkey Bread recipe that is sure to delight. Cinnamon-kissed biscuits and diced apples come together under a layer of gooey caramel in this classic twist on Monkey Bread.
Ingredients
1/2cup granulated sugar
2tablespoons ground cinnamon
4cans Pillsbury® Grands!® Flaky Layers refrigerated biscuits
2apples, peeled, diced
3/4cup butter
1cup packed brown sugar

Ingredients
1/2cup granulated sugar
2tablespoons ground cinnamon
4cans Pillsbury® Grands!® Flaky Layers refrigerated biscuits
2apples, peeled, diced
3/4cup butter
1cup packed brown sugar
Directions
Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 6-cup (9-inch) fluted tube cake pan or angel food (tube) cake pan with cooking spray.
In large food-storage plastic bag, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon. Separate each can of dough into 8 biscuits; cut each into quarters. Place 6 to 8 biscuit pieces and a few diced apples in sugar-cinnamon mixture; shake well. Continue to add more biscuits and apples to sugar-cinnamon until all are completely coated.
Layer biscuit pieces and diced apples in pan.
In 1-quart saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat. When mixture begins to boil, cook and stir 1 minute. Pour over biscuits and apples in pan.
Bake 35 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Place plate upside down over pan; turn plate and pan over. Remove pan. Serve warm.
Flavor boost—For extra caramel flavor, layer a cup of caramel bits into the pan as you add your biscuits.
Apple Pie Spice—To boost the apple flavor of this recipe, omit 1 tablespoon of the cinnamon and substitute 1 tablespoon of apple pie spice!
