Chicken Thighs Braised in White Wine

Notes: 

This recipe was delicious! It is important to have the right sized pan though, so that the Juices are absorbed into the chicken.

Ingredients: 

8 bone-in skinless chicken thighs (about 2 3/4 pounds)
Coarse salt and ground pepper
4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 cup dry white wine
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1 lemon, cut into 8 thin slices, plus 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon cold butter, cut into pieces
2 tablespoons chopped flat-leaf parsley
Cooked rice, for serving (optional)
