Classic Southern Fried Chicken Recipe

Notes: 

Halved recipe with two chicken quarters, each cut in half.

Used regular salt and pepper and added some paprika, onion powder and garlic powder.

Got oil to be bubbling but not a lot for good frying temperature. Turned ~6 times for ~23 minutes total.

Delicious!

One 4-pound chicken, cut into 8 pieces
2 large eggs
1/2 cup whole milk
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon seasoned salt, such as Lawry's
1 teaspoon seasoned pepper, such as Lawry's
24 ounces solid vegetable shortening, such as Crisco
