Creamy Cavatappi with Spinach

Ingredients: 

16 oz. Private Selection Cavatappi (pasta)
2 Tbsp butter
3 Tbsp finely chopped onion
1 ½ cup heavy cream
8 oz fresh spinach, stems removed
¾ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
3 Tbsp chopped fresh basil or 1 ½ tsp dried basil
¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese


Directions

In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and cook 2-3 minutes, or until softened. Add cream and bring to a boil. Cook 3 minutes to thicken slightly; be careful not to let it boil over. Add spinach and cook until wilted, 1 to 2 minutes longer. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water, approximately 10-11 minutes, drain.
Combine pasta, sauce, Parmesan cheese, and basil in a large bowl and toss together.
