Crockpot Apple Pie Protein Oatmeal

Ingredients: 

2 medium Apples (whatever type you prefer), peeled and diced
1 cup Old fashioned oats [1]
1/2 cup Protein powder (or additional 1/2 cup oats)
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Apple pie spice (or pumpkin pie spice)
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 cup Unsweetened applesauce
3 cups Unsweetened almond milk (or low fat milk)
2 tbs Low sugar maple syrup (or honey)
1/4-1/2 cup Sweetener of choice (or to taste)
