Duane's Bachelor Burger Series (Mushroom)

Ingredients: 

1 hamburger patty (frozen or fresh)
1 hamburger bun (top and bottom)

Mushroom Burger:
1 Tbsp butter
1/4 cup of mushroom (canned or fresh - sliced)
1 shot red wine (cab)
1/4 cup sliced white onion
1 slice of swiss cheese


Directions

  1. (optional) Oil grill grates (can use cooking spray)
  2. Heat grill to high temperature (approx. 450-500)
  3. Heat pan to medium heat (on side burner)
  4. Begin melting butter in side burner.
  5. Grill burger, 2-3 min per side (4 min if frozen). Keep lid closed while cooking.
  6. While burger is cooking - saute mushroom and onions until tender.
  7. Deglaze pan with red wine and remove from heat.
  8. Open lid and reduce heat slightly. Flip burger.
  9. Cook an additional 1 min with lid open.
  10. Top burger with sauted mushrooms and onions.
  11. Cook an additional 1 min with lid open.
  12. Top burger wtih swiss cheese.
  13. Reduce heat further and place bun(s) on grill.
  14. Close lid and cook for 1 min.
  15. Put bun on plate, put burger on bun, and eat.

Servings: 1 burger

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
