Egg Tarts

Ingredients: 

Crust:
2 cups of flour
1/2 cube of unsalted butter
1 tsp of vanilla extract
2 tsp sugar
1 large egg
2 tbsp water
1 big mixing bowl
Egg tart tins
1 metal wrack
1 rolling pin

Filling:
4 eggs
1 cup boiled milk
1/2 cup sugar
1large mixing bowl
1 strainer
1 whisk or mixing spoon
1 fork


1. Add on the crust ingredients into the mixing bowl. Knead with hands and add water if necessary.
2. Roll dough put to 1cm. thick on a floured surface using the rolling pin. Cut into circles using the egg tart tins. Use the extra dough.
3. Put the circles into the tins and flatten with thumbs.
4. Set the crusts aside and add the filling ingredients into the other mixing bowl. Using a whisk or mixing spoon, mix well in 1 direction for no bubbles.
5. Poke a few holes using a fork into the crust. Then pour the egg mixture inside the crusts.
6. Preheat the oven to 350• and bake from 30-50mins. on the wire wracks. Or until a toothpick can come out clean.
