Gluten Free Banana Scones

Ingredients: 

1 1/4 cups gluten free flour
3 tablespoons raw sugar
1.5 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon guar gum
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cardamom
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons shortening or chilled butter
1/2 cup mashed ripe banana
1/3 cup yogurt or soured milk (see notes)
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup chocolate chunks, optional
