2 cloves crushed garlic
3 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs, such as a combination of basil, chives, oregano, and rosemary
4 cups bread flour
1 scant teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
4 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
This wonderful, aromatic herb and Parmesan loaf is an excellent bread to serve with lasagna, spaghetti, or soup. I used fresh oregano, chives, a little basil, and rosemary. If you choose to use dried herbs, use about 1 tablespoon of dried leaf herbs.
