Mom's Bran Muffins

Ingredients: 

2 C 100% Brand
4C Kellogs All Bran'
2 C boiling water'
2 C sugar
1 C shortening
4 eggs
1 qt. buttermilk
5 C flour
5 t soda
1 t salt


  1. Pour boiling water over bran
  2. Cream sugar & shortening
  3. Add eggs & buttermilk
  4. Add flour mix to soaked mixture
  5. Bake for 20 min at 425.
